Software Freedom Day is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. This Code of Conduct applies to the venue of SFD, pre-event and post-event informal gatherings, and all events organized by the organizing committee of SFD.
Noskode 5.0 is the problem solving coding competition.
Question Sheets: There will be a pool of question sheets. Each question sheet will have a Question on the front and Question ID and placeholder for the participant’s name on the backside.
Question Selection: Participants can choose one Easy and one Hard question from the available pool of questions.
Time Limit: Participants have 1 hour to complete both their selected Easy and Hard questions.
Using Resources: Participants can use the internet to look up information, but AI or chatbots (such as ChatGPT, Bard, etc.) are strictly prohibited.
Answer Submission: Once a participant finishes both questions or the time runs out, they must submit their answers through the provided online form. Participants should fill in their name in the placeholder on the back of the question sheet before submission.
Scoring: Easy Questions: All Easy questions carry equal, lower points. Hard Questions: All Hard questions carry equal, higher points compared to the Easy ones.
Time-Based Ranking: The winner will be the participant who solves both their Easy and Hard questions correctly in the shortest time. If multiple participants score the same points, the one who submitted their answers the earliest will be ranked higher.
Submission Requirement: All participants must submit their answers before time expires using the provided form. Failing to submit on time may result in disqualification.
Final Review: Organizers will review the submissions to ensure correctness and adherence to the rules before finalizing the winners.
NOSK SFD CTF 2024, an exciting cybersecurity challenge designed to test and hone your hacking skills! No attacking the CTF infrastructure or other participants.
Sharing answers or solutions publicly is prohibited.
Use of automated tools or bots is not allowed unless specified by a challenge.
Respect the platform and fellow participants—sportsmanship is key!
Any violation of these rules may lead to disqualification from the competition at the organizers' discretion.
Live Scoreboard: A live scoreboard will display the top 10 teams during the competition.
Top 3 Winners: The top 3 teams from the scoreboard at the end of the competition will be selected as Winner 1, Winner 2, and Winner 3, based on their final ranking.
Points-Based Ranking: Teams will be ranked on the leaderboard according to the points they earn by capturing flags. Each flag has a specific point value.
Tie-Breaker Rule: If two or more teams have equal points, the team that captured the flag first will be ranked higher among those with the same points.
Final Rankings: The final leaderboard will determine the winners, and only the top 3 teams will be awarded based on their performance throughout the competition.
