Software Freedom Day is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We invite attendees to come to SFD in a spirit of curiosity, friendliness, open-mindedness, and respect. Any kind of harassment will not be tolerated.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our event are required to agree with:

  • Be kind and sensitive to the people around you and respect the boundaries of other attendees.
  • Attempt to resolve differences of opinions peacefully and appropriately for a professional environment.
  • Listen with empathy when someone has a different perspective and give suggestions for improvement.
  • Do not involve in any kind of harassment activities.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of event staff immediately or report your incident at nosk@ncit.edu.np.

This Code of Conduct applies to venue of SFD, pre-event and post-event informal gathering and all events organized by organizing committee of SFD.

Noskode 4.0

Noskode 4.0 is the problem solving coding competition. To book your seat, you can register here.

All attendees at Noskode are required to follow and take care of:

  • Total time: 1hr
  • Questions are of two categories, Easy and Hard.
  • Easy questions: if you do some reading/googling then you can come up with the answer.
  • Hard questions: doing reading isn't enough, you need to use some brain to implement as well.
  • You pick a random question (you get to choose which one) which hasn’t been picked by anyone else from either category and have at it.
  • At given time need to solve two questions easy and hard.
  • Can use internet
  • Can't use AI or Chatbots like ChatGPT, Bard

Note: Need to be pre-registered. You can still participate otherwise but it isn’t guaranteed that you will get the seat.
